PURPOSE: To simplify entire structure of a residential building like a high-rise apartment building and to reduce construction cost therefor by a method wherein the building is constructed in a structure in which floor concrete slabs are provided only to alternate stories while other alternate stories are excluded from being equipped with the concrete floor slabs.

CONSTITUTION: External walls 2 and floor concrete slabs 3 for odd-numbered stories for a residential building like a high-rise apartment building are constructed integrally in a reinforced concrete structure A, and construction of a building frame in the first stage is finished therewith. The floor surfaces 11 for other stories are constructed as interior works in the second stage by laying floor panels 12 made of wood or synthetic resin over reinforcing beams 7 and cross beams 8. Then, rooms 15 are constructed by installing panel-like partitioning boards 14 between the floor surfaces 13 of the odd-numbered stories and the floor panels 12 of the even-numbered stories. And rooms 17 are constructed by installing panel-like partitioning boards 16 between the floor surfaces 11 of the even-numbered stories and the undersurfaces of the floor concrete slabs 3 of the odd-numbered stories. Thereby the floor concrete slabs 3 for the even-numbered stories can be saved entirely, resulting in reduction of construction cost.
