Title:
RESIDUAL PRESSURE REMOVAL BALL VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1061790
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To shorten exhaust time to half regardless of residual pressure capacity so as to improve residual pressure removal workability at the time of abnormal processing by forming two communicating holes for exhaust in a valve element in a ball valve for removing residual pressure at the time of the valve being closed.

When an operating handle 6 is rotated in a valve opening direction, a flow hole 21 of a valve element puts a primary side opening part 3 and a secondary side opening part 4 in the communicated state, and a fluid is forcibly fed from the primary side opening part 3 to the secondary side opening part 4. When the operating handle 6 is rotated in a closing direction, the valve element 9 cuts off both opening parts 3, 4 so as to stop the supply of the fluid. At this time, one ends of both communicating holes 22, 23 are positioned at the secondary side opening part 4 to communicate, so that the residual pressure fluid remaining in fluid pressure operated equipment connected to the secondary side opening part 4 flows through the first communicating passage 22 and a clearance 17 from the secondary side opening part 4 and is discharged into the atmosphere from a discharge part 18. The residual pressure fluid is also discharged to the second communicating hole 23 and a clearance 16 and discharged from the discharge part 18 through the clearance 17 being muffled by a silencer 20.
