Title:
RESIDUAL QUANTITY DETECTING STRUCTURE OF PREPAID CARD ISSUING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05105277
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable accurate detection of the residual quantity of prepaid cards by providing a cutout which extends from the lowest end in the longitudinal direction on the side surface of a cartridge, and detecting a protruding part which protrudes from the cutout by means of a detecting part in an integrated manner with a card holder to hold the stacked prepaid cards.

CONSTITUTION: A cutout 11 which extends from the lowest end in the longitudinal direction is formed on the side surface of a cartridge 10 which stores prepaid cards 50 of the specified number in a bundle in a prepaid card issuing machine. A protruding part 21 which protrudes from the cutout 11 outward of the cartridge 10 is formed in an integrated manner to a card holder 20 which holds the cards 50 from the top and is formed so as to have an approximately same shape as that of the cards 50 and to have the specified weight by using a metal or the like. A detecting means 31 to detect that the card holder 20 comes to the specified position when the card holder does so is provided at the position corresponding to the cutout 11 of the cartridge 10. Then, an alarming means (not shown in the figure) is actuated by activating the detecting means 31, and it is announced that the residual quantity of the cards 50 reaches the specified value.
