Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a crawler to be run around drive wheels for a crawler made of a steel in a state that the drive wheel is left as it is, by a method wherein the crawler consists mainly of a urethane elastomer, gear parts having the same pitch as that of the tooth part of a drive wheel sprocket are formed at equal intervals in the direction of length, and a tooth part engaging part forms a thick tread part in the shape of a protrusion surface. CONSTITUTION:A crawler consists mainly of a resilient material, e.g., a polyether type, a polyester type, a T.D.I series, an M.D.I. series type, an amin curing system type, and an OH curing series urethan elastomer. Hole parts 22 serving as a gearing part having the same pitch as that of a tooth part 13a of a drive wheel sprocket 13 are formed at equal intervals in the direction of length. The shape of upper surface of the hole part 22 forms a protrusion surface 34a engageable with a recessed surface 13b between tooth parts 13a of the drive sprocket 13 to form a thick tread part 32. A resilient crawler is formed by a material having wear resistance, compression strength, and tensile strength, and can be run around drive wheels for the crawler made of a steel without changing the drive wheels and in a state that the drive wheel left as it is.
