To provide a resin boot for a constant velocity universal joint which is compact enough to prevent a bellows portion from being pinched in an opening of an outer ring and keeps weight not larger compared with a conventional kind of boot.
The resin boot for a constant velocity universal joint comprises: a major diameter portion 11 to be fixed in an outer ring 4 of the constant velocity universal joint 2; a minor diameter portion 12 which is fixed by a shaft 10 extended from an inner ring 6; and the bellows portion 13 wherein a valley portion 15 and a mountain portion 16 are alternately formed and provided between the major diameter portion 11 and the minor diameter portion 12. A projection part 26 is provided in a connector 17a to connect a valley portion 15a in the nearest proximity position of the major diameter portion and a mountain portion 16a in the nearest proximity position of the major diameter portion. The projection 26 is abutted on the outer ring end surface 14 in a joint bending state and can work as a point of support for extruding the valley portion 15a in the nearest proximity position of the major diameter portion of the bellows portion 13 to the side of the minor diameter portion 12.
