A resin bottle 16 is provided with a threaded portion 16a on a mouth portion at an upper end and a neck portion having a cylindrical portion 16b and a flange 16c therebelow. An intermediate wheel 8 is arranged between a filler 6 to fill the resin bottle 16 and a capper to cap the filled bottle 16. A plurality of grippers 22 to grip the cylindrical portion 16b of the resin bottle 16 are provided in the circumferential direction, and is rotated to convey the resin bottle in a condition where the neck portion of the resin bottle 16 is held and suspended. A support body 48 abutted on the mouth portion of the resin bottle 16 is provided above each gripper 22, and since the mouth portion above the cylindrical part 16b held by the grippers 22 is pressed inwardly in the radial direction by the support body 48 when the bottom portion side of the bottle 16 is swayed outwardly in the radial direction, and the upright posture can be maintained.
