Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a resin carrier for a catalyst and the catalyst, used for carbonylation reaction and excellent in heat stability and wear resistance and to provide a method for manufacturing carboxylic acid using the catalyst.
The resin carrier for the catalyst is formed by mixing resin having the porous crosslinked structure containing a pyridine ring with alkali iodide in an organic solvent to quaterize it and the solid catalyst for the carbonylation reaction is manufactured by using the resin having the porous crosslinked structure containing a pyridine ring and a salt of group VIII metal, and the carboxylic acid and the carboxylic anhydride are manufactured by using the catalyst.
