Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a casting mold and casting method capable of making the mold cost lower than the cost of metal molds and the casting surface and quality of products better than those by sand molds.

CONSTITUTION: This casting method comprises the steps of pouring molten metal 3 into the casting molds 1 composed of a thermoplastic resin, and heating, melting or softening the resin casting molds 1 after solidifying the molten metal. Resin liners 1' are composed of thermoplastic resins, are taken out of master molds 11 together with the castings at every one shot and are heated, melted or softened.
