Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated metal sheet enhanced in film forming properties, excellent in processability, capable of satisfying can capacity such as impact resistance (dent resistance), adhesion, flavor properties or the like, capable of using a general-purpose polyester resin and capable of being reduced in cost because having adhesiveness even if a primer is not used, a resin coated metal can and a metal lid.
SOLUTION: In the resin coated metal sheet comprising a metal sheet and the ionomer blended thermoplastic polyester resin coating layer applied to the surface of the metal sheet, the melt viscosity of the coating layer at a temperature of 260°C and a shearing speed of 122 sec-1 is 2,000-10,000 poise, the intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the thermoplastic polyester in the coating layer is 0.6-1.5, and an ionomer resin with a mean particle size of 5 μm or less is present in the coating layer as a disperse phase.
