Abstract:

To maintain specified tensile strength, elongation and compression permanent set value even used under high temperature and chemicals by integrat ing a linear core rubber material formed of a rubber composition composed mainly of rubber and a reinforcing filler, with a resin sheet for covering the surface of the core rubber.

The linear core rubber 7 formed of the rubber composition mainly composed of rubber and carbon black serving as a reinforcing filler, and a fluororesin sheet 6 for covering the surface of the core rubber 7, are integrated to form a fluororesin coated rubber gasket 5 ideally used for a plate type heat exchanger. In manufacturing, a fluororesin sheet 6a is stretched to cover the open face of a cavity of a lower die 9, and after an adhesive is coated on the sheet 6a, a bar body 7a formed of a rubber composition composed mainly of uncrosslinked rubber and carbon black is placed thereon. An upper die 8 is then mounted, and the dies 8, 9 are maintained to the crosslinking temperature of rubber and pressed at specified pressure.
