To provide a resin composition which is used for artificial marble and easily gives the deep color artificial marble hardly having a defect accompanied by whitening at a low cost, to provide the artificial marble using the resin composition, and to provide a method for producing the same.

This resin composition for the artificial marble is characterized by comprising (A) a radical polymerization-curable resin, (B) an addition polymerization-curable resin, (C) an acid anhydride curing agent, (D) a curing accelerator and (E) an inorganic filler. The resin (B) is, for example, an epoxy resin, and the total rate of the resin (B), the acid anhydride curing agent (C) and the curing accelerator (D) is 0.1 to 80 pts.wt. based on the resin components excluding the inorganic filler (E).
