PURPOSE: The titled composition for coating steel plate, aluminum, stainless steel, etc., having improved adhesivity and rust prevention, comprising a water-resistant polymer-containing emulsion and a compound capable of forming a chelate.
CONSTITUTION: For example, (A) 10W70wt% water-resistant polymer-containing emulsion (e.g., latex of styrene butadiene polymer, etc.) is blended with (B) 0.5W 20wt% neighboring hydroxyl group-containing polyhydricphenol carboxylic acid polyhydric alcohol ester (e.g., triester of glycerin and protocatechuic acid, etc.) and/or neighboring hydroxyl group-containing polynucleus polyhydric phenol (e.g., condensate of catechol with formalin, etc.) and (C) 0.5W10wt% acid (e.g., orthophosphoric acid, etc.) of phosphorus containing one or more P-OH bond, ester (e.g., n-butyl ester, etc.) of acid of phosphorus, or salt of acid of phosphorus, to give the desired composition.
