PURPOSE: To provide a resin compsn. for a composite damping material developing high damping effect within a room temp./medium temp. region and capable of producing the damping material excellent in bending processability and the high capacity composite damping material using said resin compsn. as the bonding resin of a damping metal plate.
CONSTITUTION: A resin compsn. for a composite damping material is the resin compsn. for the intermediate layer of a damping metal plate consisting of a plurality of metal plates and the intermediate layer bonding said metal plates and contains at least one kind of a homopolymer or copolymer selected from a homopolymer or copolymer A of vinyl ester of branched fatty acid (a), a copolymer B of vinyl ester of branched fatty acid (a) and org. carbonic ester (b) containing an alkenyl group in its melecule and a copolymer C of vinyl ester of branched fatty acid (a), org. carboxylic ester (b) containing an alkenyl group in its molecule and unsaturated carboxylic acid (c) as an essential component and having Tg of -15°C or lower.
