To further improve the thermal imprinting property of an amorphous cyclic olefin polymer while maintaining properties such as transparency, heat resistance and mechanical properties of the amorphous cyclic olefin polymer.

The resin composition includes 100 pts.wt of an amorphous cyclic olefin polymer and 1-10 pts.wt of a crystalline norbornene-based polymer which is obtained by subjecting a polymerizable monomer containing 75-100 wt.% of 2-norbornene and 25-0 wt.% of substituent-containing norbornenes to a ring-opening polymerization and hydrogenating the resulting polymer, and has a melting point of 55-145°C. In the resin composition, when the weight-average molecular weight of the amorphous cyclic olefin polymer is defined as MwA and the weight-average molecular weight of the crystalline norbornene-based polymer is defined as MwB, a relation: 0.6≤MwA/MwB≤1.0 is satisfied. A film is obtained from the composition.
