PURPOSE: The titled composition, capable of stabilizing the resin composition in an electrodeposition bath and facilitating the bath control in running the electrodeposition for a long term, and comprising methoxymethylated benzoguanamine resin as a crosslinking agent and a specific resin neutralized with an alkali.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 5W50pts.wt. methoxymethylated benzoguanamine resin as a crosslinking agent and (B) 50W95pts.wt. a water-soluble or water-dispersible acrylic, alkyd, polyester and/or maleinized drying oil which is neutralized with an alkali and reactive with (A) to crosslink and cure by heating. Preferably, the resin (A) has 2.5 or more combined formaldehyde molecules, 1 or less methylol group and 2 or more methoxymethyl groups per benzoguanamine nucleus on the average.
