To provide a resin composition of foamed body able to obtain a foamed body having a high expansion ratio even in the case of using large amounts of an inorganic filler and a coloring agent, and a foamed body obtainable from the composition, having homogeneous fine foams, and excellent in strength, surface property and design.

The resin composition of a foamed body contains an emulsive resin and a thermal decomposition-type foaming agent. In the resin composition, a water-soluble polymer material in an amount of 2-30 pts.wt. is added to 100 pts.wt. of the emulsive resin.
