PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent curability, dimensional stability and resistance to heat and impact, consisting of a specified compd., an ethylenically or allylically unsaturated monomer, a polymn. catalyst and maleimide (derivative).
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W100pts.wt. maleimide of formula I (wherein X is an arom. or aliph. bivalent residue; Y is H, a group of formula II) or mixture thereof with a polyfunctional cyanate ester or pre-reaction product therebetween is blended with 100pts.wt. blend obtd. by blending at least one compd. (A) selected from among unsaturated polyesters, reaction products of a polyepoxide with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and a diallyl phthalate-β-polymer, an ethylenically or allylically unsaturated monomer (B) (e.g. styrene) copolymerizable with component A and a polymn. catalyst (C) (e.g. dicumyl perioxide) for components A and B in a weight ratio of 0.1W100:100W0.1:0.1W5.
