Abstract:
To provide a resin composition for insulated electric wire capable of making an polyester electric wire appear dark in color after the wire is baked at a high temperature and high linear velocity.
The resin composition for insulated electric wire contains as its essential components (A) a polyester resin esterified from aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its ester derivatives and dihydric or polyvalent alcohol and (B) a phenol resin. The composition contains (B) 10 to 5.0 parts by weight of phenol resin against (A) 100 parts by weight of polyester resin. The polyester resin (A) described above has an imide bond in its molecular chain.
