PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition good in the moldability in its melt extrusion processing and excellent in both adhesive force and adhesive durability at high temperatures, by blending a polyester block copolymer with a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer and styrene-based resin.
CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is obtained by incorporating a blend composed of (A) 5-95 pts.wt. of a polyester block copolymer mainly made up of (a) a high-melting crystalline polymer segment consisting mainly of a crystalline aromatic polyester unit and (b) a low-melting polymer segment consisting mainly of an aliphatic polyether unit and/or an aliphatic polyester unit and (B) 95-5 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer with (C) a styrene- based resin. This composition can be produced by melt blending in an extruder or kneader, and is also useful as a hot-melt adhesive.
