To provide a resin composition exhibiting excellent matte effects and suitable of a coating material and to provide a matte coating material capable of giving a coating film excellent in chemical resistance and waterability.
The objective resin composition comprises [I] an organic solvent-soluble copolymer (A) obtained by polymerizing (a) 30-60 wt.% of a styrenic monomer, (b) 5-70 wt.% of an alkyl methacrylate monomer bearing a 2C or lower alkyl group in an ester moiety, (c) 0-65 wt.% of an ehylenically unsaturated monomer other than (a) and (b) aforementioned and [II] a non- water-dispersible resin (D) comprising an organic-soluble copolymer (B) obtained by copolymerizing ethylenically unsaturated monomers substantially free from a styrenic monomer having incorporated therein an organic solvent-insoluble crosslinked copolymer particle (C). Another objective coating comprises the resin composition and a polyisocyanate as a curing agent.
