Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film having high thermal durability and excellent stability.SOLUTION: A resin composition is provided, which comprises, as a resin component, a cellulose resin represented by formula (1) by 30 to 99 wt.% and an ester resin showing negative birefringence by 1 to 70 wt.%. The resin composition further contains the above resin component by 85 to 99.99 wt.% and a stability imparting plasticizer by 0.01 to 15 wt.% which has a solubility parameter δ of 17 J/cmor more obtained by a Fedor's method and a molecular weight of 350 or more. In the formula, Rto Reach independently represent H or a substituent having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The ester resin showing negative birefringence is preferably an ester resin containing a cinnamic acid ester residue unit and/or a fumaric acid ester residue. An optical compensation film having an in-plane retardation value of 80 to 300 nm is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
