Abstract:
To provide a resin composition for an optical material excellent in heat resistance and transparency, and soluble in an alkaline water solution, a resin film for the optical material composed of the resin composition and an optical waveguide using them.
The resin composition for the optical material comprises (A) an alkali-soluble (meth)acryl polymer containing a maleimide skeleton in the main chain, (B) a polymerizable compound and (C) a polymerization initiator. The resin film for the optical material is composed of the resin composition for the optical material, and the optical waveguide having a core part and/or a clad layer is formed by using the resin composition for the optical material or the resin film for the optical material.
