To provide a resin composition for an optical material which is excellent in heat resistance and transparency and is soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution, a resin film for an optical material comprising the same, and an optical waveguide using them.
The resin composition for the optical material comprises: an alkali-soluble (meth)acrylic polymer (A) having a maleimide skeleton in the main chain; a polymerizable compound (B); and a polymerization initiator (C). The resin film for the optical material comprises the resin composition for the optical material. In addition, the optical waveguide comprises a core portion and/or a cladding layer formed by using the resin composition for the optical material or the resin film for the optical material.
