PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition improved in the adhesion to bituminous material by using a polymerizable monomer, a polymeric resin, and paraffin and/or wax as the constituents.
CONSTITUTION: The title composition comprises 51-85wt.% acrylic monomer (A) comprising a polymerizable monomer that does not dissolve asphalt and having a value α of 80 or less as calculated by the equation [wherein α is the percentage of asphalt by weight dissolved in the polymerizable monomer; βis the weight (g) of asphalt component insoluble in the polymerizable monomer; γ is the weight (g) of asphalt sample]; 10-24wt.% polymeric resin (B) soluble in component A; 5-25wt.% plasticizer (C) soluble in component A; 0.1-10 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. (A+B+C), compound (D) having at least two polymerizable double bonds in the molecule; and 0.1-5 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. (A+B+C), paraffin and/or wax (E) having a melting point of 40°C or higher.
