Abstract:
To provide a resin composition for a plastic coating material having excellent adhesion to any plastic molding with high gloss and made from an ABS resin, ABS/PC resin, or a PS resin material, excellent hot water adhesion, and excellent hot water whitening resistance, and containing as a coating resin component a water-based emulsion and to provide a plastic coating material using the same.
An ethylenically unsaturated monomer essentially consisting of cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate is subjected to emulsion polymerization in the presence of a surfactant to obtain a resin composition for a plastic coating having a glass transition temperature of 50C or higher. The resin composition is used to obtain a plastic coating material.
