Title:
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR POWDER MOLDING AND MOLDED ARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3637694
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is difficult to maintain the surface conditions so that luster occurs or a grain pattern disappears with time when a molded article with a matte and/or grained surface is produced by the slush molding using a thermoplastic polyurethane resin powder.
SOLUTION: A composition comprising mainly a thermoplastic polyurethane resin powder is blended with a maleimide polymer powder which does not melt at the molding temperature and has a particle diameter of 0.5-200pm. The powder preferably comprises an N-cycloalkylmaleimide polymer with a number-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 100,000, which is blended preferably in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% (based on the urethane resin powder). The obtained molding is free from the increase in luster, the loss of grain pattern and the damages to its high-grade appearance and the like with time.
