To provide a resin composition for printing ink, using no chlorine-containing compound, good in adhesion to a polyolefin resin base even under service environments affected by water absorption or the like, and good in compatibility with other resins for printing ink including a urethane resin, and to provide a method for producing the resin composition.
The resin composition for printing ink comprises a modified polyolefin resin which is obtained by graft modification of a polyolefin resin(A) with a vinyl monomer(B) free from any unsaturated carboxylic acid and its anhydride. The method for producing the resin composition comprises the step of obtaining the modified polyolefin resin by the graft modification of the polyolefin resin(A) with the vinyl monomer(B).
