Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a polyester resin compsn. which is rich in strechability, has high strength and gives a stretched tape having excellent flexibility, resistance to creep and slitting, etc. and suitable for use as an automatic tying tape, flat yarn, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The titled resin compsn. having a melt flow rate of 0.2W2g/ 10min and for use in the production of a stretched tape, can be obtd. from 30W 95pts.wt. polyethylene having a density of 0.940g/cm3 or above and a melt flow rate of 0.1W10g/10min and 5W70pts.wt. linear polyethylene having short branches and a melt flow rate of 0.2W10g/10min.
