To obtain a resin composition which has a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group based on half esterification of an acid anhydride group in one molecule at the same time.
This resin composition contains a vinylic resin (A) which has an acid anhydride group (a) and a group (b) obtained by blocking a vicinal glycol group with a ketone compound in one molecule at the same time or the composition contains a vinylic resin (B) which has a group (c) obtained by half esterification of an acid anhydride group (a) and a group (b) obtained by blocking a vicinal glycol group with a ketone compound in one molecule at the same time or the composition contains a self-hardenable vinylic resin (C) which has a group (c) obtained by half esterificaiton of an acid anhydride group (a) and a hydroxyl group (d) obtained by dissociating the blocking agent group of the blocked group (b) in one molecule at the same time wherein the self-hardenable vinylic resin (C) contains a crosslinking agent (D).
