PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition improved in compatibility and excelling in solvent resistance, heat resistance and impact resistance by mixing a resin comprising a polyphenylene ether resin and a thermoplastic polyester with a rubberlike polymer and a dinitrodiamine compound. CONSTITUTION:100 pts. wt. resin comprising 5-95wt.% polyphenylene ether resin (A) and 95-5wt.% thermoplastic polyester (B) is mixed with 0-100 pts. wt. rubberlike polymer (C) and 0.01-10 pts. wt. compound (D) comprising a dinitrodiamine of the formula (wherein X is a bivalent acyclic aliphatic group, a cyclic aliphatic group or an aromatic group each of which may be substituted with a halogen atom or an oxygen atom; R<1> is H, an acyclic aliphatic group, a cyclic aliphatic group or an aromatic group, the nitrogen atoms may be combined together through R<1> groups when both X and R<1> are acyclic aliphatic groups; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a 1-12 C alkyl, and may be combined together to form a ring). A practical resin composition improved in compatibility between components A and B and excelling in heat resistance and impact resistance as well as in solvent resistance can be obtained.
