Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a composition, composed of a specific graft polymer, polystyrene-based resin, antimony oxide, specified bromine-containing reaction product and ladder type silicone resin, excellent in impact resistance and flame retardance and suitable as household appliances, OA apparatuses, etc. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing (A) a graft polymer obtained by grafting an aromatic monovinyl monomer onto polybutadiene rubber and/or styrene-butadiene coplymer rubber, (B) a polystyrene-based resin, (C) antimony oxide, (D) a reaction product, prepared by reacting a bromine-containing epoxy- based compound with 1,3,5-tribromophenol and having 1,200-6,000 molecular weight and 5-60 wt.% bromine content and (E) a ladder type silicone resin. The amounts of the components are as follows. The amount of grafted and ungrafted rubber components account for 1-15 wt.% of the total amount of the components (A) and (B). 1-10 pts. wt. component (C), 5-40 pts. wt. component (D) and 0.1-15 pts. wt. component (E) based on 100 pts. wt. total amount of the component (A) and (B).
