Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition with both high impact resistance and heat distortion resistance, by incorporating specified amount of specific olefin copolymer in a resin composition made up of polyarylate and polyester.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 50W99.5wt% of a resin composition made up of A1: 1W99wt% of polyarylate and A2: 99W1wt% of polyester of formula I (R1WR4 are each H, alkyl, etc.; m is 1W10) (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate) with (B) 50W0.5wt% of an olefin copolymer derived from α-olefin (e.g., ethylene) and α,β-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester of formula II (R5 is H or lower alkyl) (e.g., acrylic glycidyl ester).
