Title:
RESIN EYEGLASSES FOR CORRECTION OF COLOR BLINDNESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000047145
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide eyeglasses which are safe and reliable without fracture of lenses by forming a reflection film by vapor deposition on the convex face of a resin lens to decrease the transmittance and forming a thick transmission film layer by vapor deposition on the concave face to decrease reflection on the concave face.

The resin lens 1 is produced from an optical resin material and subjected to chemical coloring by using dyes of red, blue, green, violet, brown or the like in different mixing ratios to produce 21 kinds in 4 classes of corrective eyeglasses. Then a reflection film 2 is formed by vapor deposition on the convex face 1a of the resin lens (the material for the reflection film 2 is selected from SiO2, TiO2 and Cr) while the film thickness of the reflection film 2 is controlled to decrease the transmittance of the colored lens by about 10%. Then a transmission film 3 is formed as a thick film by vapor deposition on the concave face 1b so as to decrease reflection on the concave face. Thus, visual interference on a focused image caused in a background with intense light in the resin lens 1 can be effectively eliminated to improve the correcting effect for color blindness.
