Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-made impact absorbing member which is simple in structure and has stable impact absorption performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a resin-made impact absorbing member which is composed of a fiber-reinforced resin material having a reinforced fiber and a thermal plastic resin, and has a hollow-structure impact absorbing part composed of an outer cylinder part and a hollow part. An average fiber length of the reinforced fiber is 1 to 100 mm, the rupture elongation of the thermal plastic resin is not lower than 10%, a compression elasticity rate of the fiber-reinforced resin material is not lower than 10 GPa, and compression strength is 150 to 500 MPa, and in the impact absorbing part, a maximum value of a ratio L1/t1 of a distance L1 from a gravity center position in a cross shape in a direction orthogonal to an impact absorbing direction up to the outer cylinder part at the same cross section and a thickness t1 of the outer cylinder part is not larger than 40.
