Title:
RESIN-MADE PISTON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015031336
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-made piston which is high in dimension accuracy to seal a brake fluid even at a high liquid pressure load, small in slide resistance, excellent in brake feeling performance, and formed of a thermosetting resin molding material having a weight reduction effect.SOLUTION: A resin-made piston used in a disc brake has a piston 4 which presses brake pads 2a, 2b against a disc rotor 3, and a cylinder 7 which slidably incorporates the piston via a piston seal, and propels the piston by a cylinder 7. A cylindrical degree of an external peripheral face of the resin-made piston which is measured conforming to JIS-B-0182 is not higher than 15 μm, and the surface roughness (maximum height) Rz of the external peripheral face of the resin-made piston which is measured conforming to JIS-B-0601-1994 is within a range not lower than 1.0 μm and not higher than 3.0 μm.
