To provide an electrostatic image developing toner using a polycondensation resin which is suppressed in fusion (filming) onto a photoreceptor of the toner at high temperature and high humidity and is improved in image quality maintaining property in long-term continuous use; to provide a resin particle dispersion suitably usable for the toner and a method for producing the same; and to provide an electrostatic image developer containing the electrostatic image developing toner, and a developing device, a cartridge, and an image apparatus, using the toner or the developer.
The resin particle dispersion comprises a polymer and a polycondensation resin. The polymer has a hydrophilic monomer unit in an amount of 10-90 mol%, the hydrophilic monomer unit having at least one polar group selected from the group consisting of an acidic polar group, a basic polar group, and a neutral polar group, and has a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 or more. The polycondensation resin is contained in an amount of 50 wt.% or more in the resin solids.
