PURPOSE: To obtain a resistance material contributing to a picture plane having uniform luminance distribution and the lengthening of the lifetime of a panel by solving a problem, in which the luminance of the picture plane is made unstable due to the dispersion of the resistance value of a resistor mounted into a discharge cell and the lifetime is shortened, in a memory driving system DC type gas discharge display unit (PDP).
CONSTITUTION: A resistor is formed in a discharge cell by resistance paste acquired by compounding and mixing glass powder 16 and resistor whiskers 17, in which the surfaces of insulating potassium titanate whiskers are covered with tin oxide and antimony oxide singly or compositely and which has the shape of 15μm mean fiber length and a 0.5μm mean fiber diameter, with a binder consisting of an organic material and sufficiently kneading the mixture by a three-roll machine.
