To provide a resistance spot welding method capable of preventing delayed fracture of a weld joint in a high-tensile steel plate.
Totally two or more steel plates 1, 2 including one or more high-tensile steel plates are overlapped and held between a pair of weld electrodes 4, 5. In a main energization process, the steel plates 1, 2 are pressed by the weld electrodes 4, 5 while an electric current IM (kA) is supplied, so as to form a nugget 3. In the middle of the main energization process, a pressing force is changed. In a post-energization process, an electric current value supplied after the main energization process is changed and heating is performed without changing the diameter of the nugget 3. In the middle of the post-energization process, the electric current is changed again.
