Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the maximum ship speed high, and enhance accelerating performance by sufficiently lessening frictional resistance behind the rear ends of strips.
SOLUTION: Ejection holes 4 ejecting air in water are provided for a ship bottom behind the rear end of each strip 3 which is projected out of the ship bottom of a small planing boat, while being extended in the longitudinal direction. Air in the outside of a hull is sucked in by each ejection duct 5 by making use of lowering in pressure in a space behind the rear end of each strip 3 so as to be led to the ejection holes 4, and pressure resistance developed in a space behind the rear end of each strip 3 and frictional resistance are thereby lessened.
