Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent hydrogen induced crack by setting the number of non-metallic inclusions where the length in the plate thickness direction does not below the prescribed value to the value smaller than the prescribed number per unit length in the direction of the resistance welding in the resistance welded part.

CONSTITUTION: A resistance welded tube excellent in the hydrogen induced crack resistance of the resistance welded part where the number of the non-metallic inclusions with the length in the plate-thickness direction to be ≥10μm is one or under per 1cm in the direction of the resistance welding is provided. After the late having the chemical composition consisting of Mn and Si to meet the inequality Mn/Si≥6.0, and 0.05-0.010% Al is formed, the plate is formed in the atmosphere of the inert gas of the flow rate as specified in the inequalities according to the plate thickness(t), and the abutted parts are welded. This constitution prevents the hydrogen induced crack to be generated vertically in the plate surface in the vicinity of the resistance welded part which is generated when the tube is used in transferring the LNG and petroleum containing hydrogen sulfide, and improves the safety remarkably.
