To prevent short circuiting between conductors due to a molten fuse at its dropping spot at the time of blowout of a thermal fuse.
Resistor for load current control 3 has a resistive element and a thermal fuse 23 arranged on a base 40 made of a resin material, which are covered with a protector 30 made of metal. The thermal fuse operating at abnormalities of a circuit is a solder fuse soldered between a first fuse mounting part 14a of a first fuse terminal 11a and a second fuse mounting part 35 of a second fuse terminal 30 commonly used with the protector. At a dropping spot of the blowout fuse below the thermal fuse, a long groove 46 is formed as a concave part on a top face 40a of the base. By capturing and storing the blowout fuse 23d in the concave part of the long groove 46, connection between first and second base contact parts 18, 39 as conductors directly below each of the first and the second fuse mounting parts is shut off to surely prevent short circuiting.
