Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a resistor nonlinear in voltage which shows larger nonlinear coefficient at the same varistor voltage, and its manufacture.
CONSTITUTION: This resistor contains a composite perovskite type oxide, which includes one or more kinds among Sr, Ba, Ca, Mg, and Pb and one or more kinds among Ti, Zr, and Sn, one or more kinds of donor ingredients, and Si, and this has a white layer different in brightness from other at the grain boundary at the time of having observed an optional chip with a transmission type electronic microscope, and here the length of the facet grain boundary occupying in the length of the grain boundary of the cut face of an optional sample is 10% or less, and this is manufactured by applying reduction treatment at the oxygen partial pressure of 1×10-15atm or under between a reductive backing process and a reoxidation process.
