Abstract:
The method involves moving a strand (1) by a resonator housing (4) made of a metallic material, and supplying microwaves to the housing. A working temperature of the housing is detected by a temperature sensor (9) and maintained at a constant value by a temperature control, where the value lies over an ambient temperature. The housing is heated by leakage heat that is controlled by the sensor. A wall (12) of an inner space (7) of the housing is coated with a corrosion-resistant and electrically conductive metal such as gold. An independent claim is also included for a resonator housing comprising a hollow body.
