Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a lost portion of a signal by estimating that portion based on the first known portion of the signal precedent to and the second known portion of the signal succeeding to the lost portion.
SOLUTION: A lost portion of a signal is restored based on the first known portion of the signal precedent to the lost portion and the second known portion of the signal succeeding to the lost portion. The first known portion of a signal includes the known sample of the first set and the second known portion of the signal includes the second known sample of the second set. The lost portion of the signal is restored by restored by predicting the value of the set for the lost signal. The known sample of the first set is represented by using the first autoregressive model called as the left-hand side autoregressive model and the known sample of the second set is represented by using the second autoregressive model called the right-hand side autoregressive model.
