Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a restraining material excellent in frictional performance, particularly, the restraining material having a high frictional coefficient and optionally controlling a frictional characteristic in accordance with uses, a processing device using the same and a carrying device.SOLUTION: In a frictional material 10 having a frictional surface exerting frictional force on an object by restraining the object by being brought into pressure contact with the object, the frictional surface is a surface where a base material of the restraining material directly contacts with the object, and is formed as a pattern surface periodically arranging land-shaped parts by being partitioned into the land-shaped parts 12 by a recessed part 4, and the depth of the recessed part falls within a range of 15-50 μm to the frictional surface, and a pattern index, which is a value obtained by dividing arrangement pitches (P1 and P2) of the land-shaped parts in the periodic arrangement direction of the land-shaped parts in the pattern surface by a maximum diameter D of the land-shaped parts to the direction, falls within a range of 1.0-100, and there exists the direction in which the maximum diameter of the land-shaped parts to the direction falls within a range of 0.1-2 mm. This restraining material can also be applied to a processing device and a carrying device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
