Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a retaining wall resistance against destructive earthquake and heavy rain.SOLUTION: In a side dead void S2 between two right and left retaining wall blocks 20, a reinforcement material 30A satisfying following requirements is installed: (A) right-left length of the reinforcement material 30A is 80 percent or more of that of the side dead void S2, or front-rear length of the reinforcement material is 80 percent or more of that of the side dead void S2; (B) the reinforcement material 30A annularly surrounds and restricts a crushed rock R in at least any one cross-sectional view of plane sectional view, front sectional view or side sectional view so that cross sectional area inside the annular shape is 0.01 to 0.5 m, and length of the reinforcement material 30A in a direction perpendicular to the annular shape is 100 mm or longer; (C) the reinforcement material 30A can elastically bend or twist while restricting the crushed rock R.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
