Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the braking torque characteristics at the time of rotating at a low speed.
CONSTITUTION: A retarder with an exciter of the type for supplying a voltage to the retarder 5 contains the exciter 1, and rectifies an AC voltage generated by the exciter 1 by a rectifier 4, and comprises a capacitor 8 of a capacitance enough to generate a resonance state to a retarder field winding 6 to supply the voltage generated in the resonance state at the time of rotating at a low speed to the retarder 5.
