To improve safety and drivability when a vehicle is retreated and traveled to a safe place if an emergency arises during traveling of the vehicle.

A retreat travel switch 11 is provided in a position enabling operation by a driver. If the driver feels that he/she should stop the vehicle for the safety since any emergency occurs during traveling of the vehicle, when the driver turns on the retreat travel switch 11, a retreat travel relay 20 and an electronic throttle relay 21 are turned off, to switch a vehicle travel mode to a retreat travel mode. Thus, by turning off a power source of an electronic throttle device 18 to close a throttle opening to a retreat travel throttle opening, output of an engine 17 is lowered to suppress vehicle driving power, to make the vehicle retreat travel. Also during the retreat traveling, continuing the operation of the engine 17 enables the driver to operate steering wheel in a power steering device and brake device, and secures braking force during the retreat traveling.
