Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a reverse-input-blocking clutch which makes it possible to easily release the locked state of an output member. [Solution] To satisfy the following relationship in a cross-section perpendicular to the rotational center axis of an output member 3 while in a state in which one pair of pressing surfaces 11 press against a pressing-target surface 10 without elastic deformation of an engaging element 5 and reverse input of the rotational torque of the output member 3 occurring. A second wedge angle β is set so as to be greater than a first wedge angle α, if the first wedge angle α is the angle formed between the tangent Y at the contact part C between the pressing surfaces 11 and the pressing-target surface 10 and a first perpendicular line P1 which is perpendicular to the output-side engagement target surface 16, and the second wedge angle β is the acute-side angle among the angles formed between the output-side engagement target surface 16 and a second perpendicular line P2 which passes through the contacting section X between an output-side engaging part 9 and the output-side engagement target surface 16, and is perpendicular to a straight line passing through said contacting section X and the rotational center O of the output member 3.
