Abstract:
To provide a reverse shift mechanism of a manual transmission, dispensing with a chamfered shape at a gear end part, and reducing the axial length of the whole transmission.
A reverse idle gear is rotatably supported by a holder rotatably fitted to a transmission case, and the reverse idle gear is disposed so that in the neutral state, the reverse idle gear drags meshing with a reverse drive gear. In reverse shifting, the axial displacement of a 5-speed reverse shift fork shaft is converted to the rotating displacement of the holder by a link mechanism including a rocking reverse shift lever and a cam shaft having a cam groove, so that the reverse idle gear is meshed with both of the reverse drive gear and the reverse driven gear.
